Lorenzo and Gadea remain on top at Valencia

Spaniards Jorge Lorenzo and Sergio Gadea were once again the fastest riders in their respective classes on the second day of testing at the Ricardo Tormo circuit in Spain. Both riders improved on the pole position lap times set during the Valencian GP in November in what proved a fruitful day's work.

The Aprilia riders were joined by Honda BQR's Arturo Tizón and Martín Cárdenas who are both making their way back from injury. Meanwhile, Marco Simoncelli, who had crashed on Wednesday, has flown back to Italy and has been examined by Dr Costa in Imola. The Clinica Mobile boss ruled out surgery as Simoncelli should have enough to time to recover before his team's next test, scheduled for January.
