The Ricardo Tormo circuit, near Valencia, which hosted the last round of the MotoGP World Championship in November, was the stage of a day of various motorcycle events on Sunday.

One of the highlights of the day was the Metrakit Festival, in which raced the young Gillim Hayden, the cousin of MotoGP star Nicky Hayden, who rides for the Repsol Honda team in the World Championship.

There were also various competitions for journalists, VIPs and various sportsmen. The public had the opportunity to witness a race in which 125cc riders Sergio Gadea and Hector Faubel faced their team-manager, former World Champion Jorge Martinez 'Aspar', but also GP2 driver Borja Garcia.

During the day, Spanish youngster Julián Miralles was awarded for his courageous comeback to the Grand Prix scene after suffering severe injuries when he crashed during the Italian Grand Prix. Miralles received an award from the Sports commission of the Valencia township.
