Riders for Health out to raise money at Mugello

MotoGP charity Riders for Health are organizing various events in the build-up to the Italian Grand Prix, which will take place this weekend at Mugello.

The festivities will start on Thursday to raise money for pioneering field initiatives which involve sending in-country teams to develop efficient and cost-effective techniques for the management of two and four-wheel vehicles in harsh and barren African terrain.

The events will kick-off at 12pm with The Alice Minibike Trophy, offering fans the opportunity to put their riding skills to the test. The eight best riders will take part in the Riders for Health Cup, in which several World Championship riders will feature (Andrea Iannone, Gabriele Ferro and Federico Sandi), alongside several Italian specialists from the National Minibike Championship.

Randy Mamola will host a promising ‘Minibike Two-Seater Show' and the closing event will be an auction attended by many MotoGP stars, including Max Biaggi, Nicky Hayden, Colin Edwards, Roby Rolfo, and 250cc riders Alex de Angelis and Roberto Locatelli.
