Totti Top Sport signs Rodriguez and Bianco
The Totti Top Sport - 3C Racing team has announced its 2006 line-up with Ángel Rodríguez and Stefano Bianco to spearhead the Italo-Spanish team's 125 effort in next year's World Championship.
Rodríguez, who had made an impressive comeback with the Team Toth in the second half of the season after being sacked by LG Galicia, is pleased to have joined the outfit which took two victories in 2005 with Mattia Pasini.
"That's quite a big break for me, I'm very happy to work again with the staff I first started with," said Rodríguez. "I'm well aware that the winter will be pretty busy as we'll work hard to be fully prepared, but I'm confident as it was with Aprilia that I took my best results in the past. I love football and for me it's a great honour to ride for a team supported by a great champion like Francesco Totti. I'm really looking forward to meeting my new captain."
Stefano Bianco makes his return to the Grand Prix scene in 2006. The 20 year-old from Torino, Italy, previously raced with Aprilia and Gilera in 2002 and 2003. This year, he was one of the title contenders in the 125 Spanish Championship, but was eventually beaten by Mateo Túnez and Bradley Smith.
"I'm very happy to have concluded this deal with the Totti Top Sport - 3C Racing team," said the Italian. "I'm confident with the potential of this team and in the performances of the Aprilia. It cheers me up after being denied the opportunity to fight for the Spanish title in the last race."
