Pedrosa again shows his solidity on the RC211V

Dani Pedrosa was again in brilliant form at the first day of the Sepang Test, becoming one of the fastest riders and highlighting himself as the best rookie in the premier class.

The Spaniard finished the session in fourth position, four decimals off Valentino Rossi´s impressive first place time. Although his development and records seem to tell a different story, Pedrosa has been under pressure to remember that he still needs to undergo a process of adaptation to the new bike and the jump in category. In any case, the Repsol Honda rider has shown his satisfaction with the results. In an interview given to, the three time World Champion expressed his views at the end of the first day´s work.

"It is hotter than the last time we came here, back in November, although the track condition is certainly better, leading to the times ending up very similar"

Pedrosa also announced his goals for the preseason,

"I'm happy with my times today because I didn't expect to go this fast. My first priority is to get used to the machine and find the best riding position at the moment. But I am tired for sure and I have to improve my physical condition. It's hard work for the muscles riding a MotoGP bike, which makes me breathe harder than normal. The problem is to get consistency. I can do a few good laps and get a good rhythm, but I must try to make bigger runs."
