Ellison continues his adaptation to Yamaha

During the Sepang Test James Ellison is concentrating on adapting his riding style to the peculiarities of the Yamaha, his new ride for 2006. The Briton is troubled by a virus, but although he is not in the best of shape he continues working intensely in the saddle of the Yamaha, with Dunlop tyres, which is one of the biggest additions to the 2006 grid. The importance of the adaptation process means that the main priority is putting kilometres on the clock, and accordingly Ellison occupies one of the first places in the "most laps ridden" list at the Malaysian circuit.

In an exclusive chat with motogp.com, Ellison spoke about the team and his feelings onboard his new bike.

Hervé Poncharal has also expressed his thoughts. The manager of Tech3 indicated his desire to have a duo in his team, and that he had a clear favourite for the job of accompanying Ellison.

"We are negotiating with the sponsors and there is still nothing sealed. The truth is that we are very excited about the possibility of having Carlos Checa in 2006, although at the moment there is nothing definitive that it will happen" he stated.
