Cecchinello: "I have always dreamed of running a MotoGP team"

Lucio Cecchinello debuted in charge of a MotoGP team this week. The Italian ex-rider, who for many years has continued to be involved with the World Championship (in his role as Team Manager), shared his thoughts on this new adventure with motogp.com.

"Since I arrived here in 2003 I have always dreamed of directing a MotoGP team. Now we are in the premier class, with a great rider and an excellent bike. All this is fantastic for me" commented the Italian in an extract from the interview.

Cecchinello, at the head of the LCR Honda team, will have one of the official RC211Vs for the exciting challenge. The bike will be made available for Casey Stoner, the Australian rider with which he was runner up last season in 250cc.

This week, in the Sepang Test, Cecchinello took his first steps in MotoGP´s premier class. The preseason programme continues for the team next week at Phillip Island.
