Puig puts Pedrosa´s preseason progress in perspective

The "Sporting Father" and manager of three-time World Champion Dani Pedrosa analysed the young Spanish rider´s development in the first preseason tests. Alberto Puig has emphasised the importance of adapting to the demands of a MotoGP prototype, and the physical attributes Pedrosa will have to acquire in order to tame the powerful 990cc and 250hp machine.

In an interview with motogp.com, Puig went through Pedrosa´s first steps in MotoGP. The twice 250cc World Champion, one of a crop of highly-rated premier class debutants this season, stood out in the Sepang Test as one of the fastest MotoGP riders, even finishing ahead of Valentino Rossi and Nicky Hayden in the overall standings.
