Nicky Hayden happy despite Phillip Island fall

Repsol Honda´s Nicky Hayden saw his third day of testing in Phillip Island marred by a nasty looking fall on his 95th lap at the second turn, sliding along the asphalt. Hayden suffered a blow to the head, with no serious repercussions, but the damage to his bike curtailed his taking any further part in the Australian Test´s final day.

In an exclusive video with motogp.com, we hear Nicky´s explanation for the fall and his verdict on the Honda, the Australian Test and his preseason.

Despite the accident, Hayden was pleased with the Test.

"To ride in these wet conditions is maybe what I liked most about this Test. I felt comfortable and that´s important, because it´s no secret that last year the rain-affected races didn´t go very well for me"

The American rider had previously clocked his fastest time of 1´30.95 at the circuit, which suffered torrential rainfall yesterday making the test a challenge for all involved. The time was the fifth quickest of the day, ahead of teammate Dani Pedrosa.
