Simoncelli on the road to 250cc adaptation

Marco Simoncelli´s adaptation to the 250cc category continues step by step with his new Metis Gilera team. The Italian rider is moving on from an injury-hit start to preseason, in which he took an unwelcome and enforced rest after a shoulder fracture in Valencia.

Simoncelli was one of the participants at this week´s Catalunya Test, attended by a large number of 125cc and 250cc teams. He spoke with motogp.com from the circuit and evaluated his development in the quarter litre class.

"It´s been a little complicated this winter because of the shoulder fracture, which obliged me to be at home recuperating" said the Italian. "In Jerez the injury gave me some problems and it went badly. In contrast, at Barcelona I have felt better but it is a new circuit for me in 250cc, so at the start it proved difficult for me to pick up the rhythm" he explained during an interview in his native tongue.
