Amatriain gives progress report on Fortuna Aprilia

As part of one of the strongest teams in 250cc for the coming season, Fortuna Aprilia´s duo of Jorge Lorenzo and Héctor Barberá have their eyes set on becoming title contenders. Team Manager Dani Amatriain takes charge of the talented young Spaniards for a second season, and shares their ambitious outlook for 2006.

In an interview with motogp.com, Amatriain revealed his pleasure with Lorenzo and Barberá´s preseason development and also with Aprilia´s support.

"We´ve already been working with the same riders for a year, which is important, and with Aprilia things are going very well at the moment so we´re very happy. Our goal right now is to pick up the pace in order to reach the first race able to win Grands Prix and fight for the World Championship, our main target for the year" said Amatriain in the exclusive interview.

The Fortuna Aprilia team, fresh from last week´s Catalunya Test, return to work on Wednesday with three sessions in Estoril.
