Gibernau positive after Sepang setback

Sete Gibernau, a victim of problems both physical and meteorological this week, has certainly not had the kind of test he had hoped for at Sepang. However the Spaniard remains happy with the Desmosedici GP6's development, as well as that of the Bridgestone tyres despite limited opportunities to test them.

The Ducati rider is looking forward to the Official Test in Catalunya, where he has indicated that he will be able to check the bike's true potential. In an interview with motogp.com, Gibernau spoke about this week's strange test, in which rain and stomach problems halted his progress.

"Even though I've been ill and the rain has stopped us a bit, it was good to at least get on the bike and feel things. It shows that the work we did in Phillip Island wasn't so bad, because we still went round well here. We look forward to testing in Barcelona and Jerez where the Ducati and Bridgestone didn't do so well last year"
