Suzuki MotoGP have been working overtime in order to establish the GSV-R as a competitive bike this season, and the grafting seems to be paying off with John Hopkins' excellent form in this week's Sepang Test.

The Anglo-American rider was both one of the fastest and most consistent throughout the three days at the Malaysian circuit, despite the best efforts of the weather to dampen his progress.

Although Hopkins' bike clocked impressive times, he believes that the Suzuki has still more untapped potential to be discovered at the next date of the preseason calendar. In any case, Hopkins remains impressed by this week's developments.

"We lost a bit of time because of the weather, which frustrated me a bit because I was riding well with a good rhythm at the same pace as my rivals. Right now I'm confident that we can do well when competition time arrives" said Hopkins in an exclusive interview with motogp.com.
