‘Aspar' wants title in 2006

Jorge Martínez ‘Aspar' is keen to see his team's success increase in 2006, with a strong desire to see one of his riders take home the title.

Aspar Team and Mutua Valenciana Automovilista have sealed a renovation deal for next season's 125cc and 250cc sponsorship, and at the official unveiling the team boss emphasised the importance of the 2006 campaign.

"I´m very happy because this year we can win. It's our turn" declared the experienced manager. "We've spent years as nearly-men and with six competitive riders now is a good time for us"

The team are already undertaking a busy preseason, and with the Official Tests looming, Aspar sees the previous sessions as a great start.

"At the moment Aprilia have been ahead of everyone. We'll see more how the bikes respond in the Official Tests" With five riders in 125cc: Héctor Faubel, Sergio Gadea, Álvaro Bautista, Mattia Pasini and Mateo Túnez, and title contender Alex de Angelis as his 250cc hopeful, Aspar has every reason to be confident.
