Exclusive interview with Thomas Lüthi

Current 125cc World Champion Thomas Lüthi faces the upcoming season with the added pressure of retaining the title. The young Swiss rider will by surrounded by a more experienced team and better resources as he aims to stay ahead of the pack and defend his crown.

Lüthi took part in the two day test session in Cheste this week, the circuit close to Valencia where a number of lower cylinder class teams have taken the chance to fine tune their preparations. The World Champion took the time to give an exclusive interview to motogp.com at the circuit ahead of this important season.

"I think it's really exciting to be able to wear the number one on the bike. I'm eager to start the season and my preparation has been good for both me and the team"

"The 125cc category is always a pressure cooker for a rider. It doesn't matter if you have the number one or not, everyone is equal and there are lots of riders capable of winning" added Lüthi in the video available here.
