Aspar presents his 6 for 2006

With the new season almost underway, Jorge Martínez Aspar yesterday held a presentation in Valencia to show off his new riders. A six-strong squadron, the 125cc category will be the main battlefront for Aspar. Mateo Túnez, Sergio Gadea, Álvaro Bautista, Mattia Pasini and Héctor Faubel will be the five riders hoping to bring home victories for the team, with Álex de Angelis the sole 250cc representative.

Faubel summed up the team's confidence for the 2006 season, and passed comment on the preseason work undertaken by Aspar's outfit.

"I'm convinced that we will do well this year, even though there is strong competition as much inside my team as outside. We worked hard during the winter and when we go to Jerez we will see the fruits of our labour."

Pasini payed tribute to the Master MVA Aspar team itself, describing it as a top team due to their experience in the championship. "I'm very happy to be here, because everyone is very professional. Also, having Jorge Martínez Aspar's support is a great foundation."
