West: "I'm either going to crash or be at the top"

Anthony West faces a season of change in 2006. Moving to the Kiefer Racing outfit after a 2005 spent with KTM, the Australian is realistic about his prospects for the upcoming 250cc World Championship.

In an exclusive interview with motogp.com, West explained his situation and how he hopes to make the most of a kit bike to bring success to the team.

"I was trying to get a factory bike, but it seems hard to get any support at the moment. Now I'm with a standard kit bike in a small German team which is going to be quite difficult, but I've just got to try my best," said the Antipodean rider, who expressed his desire to finish above his old team and also stated his attitude for the coming season. "The bike is probably as good as it is going to get now, probably top 5 is achievable. I'll push it to the maximum, and I'm either going to crash or be right at the top."
