Campetella Racing present 2006 lineup

An evening of celebration for Campetella Racing, in which all its great 2006 innovations were officially presented to the public and to members of local and national press, took place on Saturday in Montecassiano, Italy.

Without a doubt the most important novelty for the team is its debut in the 125cc class with 2 young riders, Andrea Iannone and rookie Simone Grotzkyj Giorgi, a rider who won the CIV last year. The two youngsters are part of the Ticinohosting-Campetella Junior Team. Another important development is the addition of Ticinohosting group as main sponsor for the team; Ticinohosting is a Ticino-based brand that for over 20 years has dealt with Hardware, ISP (Internet Service Provider) and ASP (Application Service Provider).

The 250cc team, simply called Ticinohosting-Campetella Racing, will line up with experienced Japanese rider Taro Sekiguchi, in his second season with the team, and young British rider Chaz Davies.

At the pre-dinner press conference Iannone and Grotzkyj Giorgi declared that they are yet to get used to the new bike as it is completely different from the one they rode last year, but have said that they have complete trust in their mechanics.

Carlo Campetella, team owner, gave all four riders his best wishes for the season, hoping for positive moments and great results.
