LCR Honda, the team run by Lucio Cecchinello and which will be home to Casey Stoner in his debut MotoGP season, held a presentation last night at the Jerez Circuit. The event was used to present the new design for the RCV211V, which has the theme of the Australian flag.

Stoner and Cecchinello have a long history together throughout all three cylinder classes, a partnership which has brought the young rookie many successful moments.

Cecchinelo eulogised the combination set to embark on their first MotoGP season in an interview conducted at the presentation.

"It's a great achievement. When you think that me and Casey first met in late 2001, then grew up together in 125cc and 250cc before coming here, it really is something fantastic."

Stoner, coming back from a shoulder operation which forced his absence from the final preseason test at the Jerez circuit, was optimistic about the coming season.

"I've had a lot of challenges in the past few years, but it doesn't get any more difficult than MotoGP in the world of road racing. I'm willing to put the work in, and having missed the last few sessions it'll only be now that we can see where we stand."
