Pirro recovers in record time

Back from injury in record time, Michele Pirro will be able to take his place on the grid this Saturday at the Losail Circuit in Qatar making his debut appearance for 2006 in 125cc.

WTR Blauer USA's Italian rider was forced to miss the first meeting of the season after suffering both a fracture and ligament damage in the Jerez test. Although the Clinica Movil's doctors had given a two month rest diagnosis, Pirro has cut that in half in order to get back on the bike.

"I am delighted to be able to run in Qatar," said Pirro. "I have to thank the doctors from the Clinica Movil for their great job. It's only three weeks since I was operated on, it's been a record recovery and I think that this is a result of my strong will to get back on the track."

"I was in Jerez as a spectator, and the fact that I wasn't riding made me feel really bad. My desire to get back on the bike is so great that it has helped me recover so quickly."
