Casey Stoner was once again fastest in Qatar, having been quickest in every morning session at the Losail Circuit. The LCR Honda rider, who is on pole in this afternoon's Grand Prix, came in ahead of Nicky Hayden, Loris Capirossi, John Hopkins and Toni Elias, with Marco Melandri, Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa, Colin Edwards and Randy de Puniet filling the top ten.

The session was delayed by an engine blow up for Chris Vermeulen on the main straight, red flagging the session with four minutes to go.

Roberto Locatelli clocked the fastest time in this morning's 250cc warmup, a time of 2'03.942 heading the table ahead of Andrea Dovizioso, Alex de Angelis and pole position man Jorge Lorenzo. Guintoli, Barbera, Aoyama and Baldolini were the others in the top eight.

Alvaro Bautista took the fastest lap of this morning's 125cc warmup, becoming the only man to go round in 2'09, alongside Mattia Pasini who finished second. Behind them sits Gabor Talmacsi and Mika Kallio, with Pablo Nieto, Thomas Luthi and Angel Rodriguez completing the top eight.
