The best of 125cc: Kallio v.s. Gadea

Mika Kallio and Sergio Gadea were the focus of the final lap action in Qatar, fighting to the finish for second place in a battle separated by only ten thousandths of a second.

Finnish rider Kallio, who was behind his rival before the home straight, managed to overtake him at the last moment.

"I am happy with this second position, it equals my result here from 2005," explained the Red Bull KTM rider. "This time was undoubtedly much more complicated because we had some problems with the front of the bike that we couldn't sort out completely before the race. The wind also complicated things. My goal was to get onto the podium, so we leave here with the mission completed," said the rider second in the championship.

"It was a hard race because conditions changed from what they were in qualifying. We didn't know if the fine tuning from before would be ideal for the new scenario. I had a lot of problems with the front end and was close to crashing a few times, and for that reason I decided not to push at the end."
