Locatelli's spectacular Qatar comeback

Roberto Locatelli was the protagonist of a great comeback in the 250cc Qatar spectacular, after storming through the pack following a run-off to finish third.

The Team Toth rider certainly had to work for the podium place, starting from the front row before taking a trip into the gravel and coming back on track in 21st. The experienced Aprilia rider was not to be beaten, making amends with a sensational riding display. Locatelli worked his way to fourth behind Hector Barbera a few laps from the finish.

With the chequered flag in sight, the Italian was able to nudge Barbera from the rostrum by 34 thousandths of a second. Locatelli was last seen on the 250cc podium in 2002, where he came second in the Italian GP. He came third in the Czech 125cc GP two years ago in Brno.

In the following video you can enjoy some of the best moments from Locatelli's spectacular Qatar comeback.
