A terrible crash at the Dutch Grand Prix in Assen drew Mick Doohan's 1992 winning run to an unceremonious end. It could easily have signalled the termination of his racing career as well, but after a miraculous recovery the Australian was back behind the bars and fighting for the title after only three months.
