Motor Clube do Estoril called up for Turkey and China

The Motor Clube do Estoril, the association chiefly responsible for organising the most important motorsports race in Portugal, has once again been chosen by MotoGP rights-holder Dorna Sports and the FIM to play a part in the organisation of two addition Grands Prixs abroad. The decision is a clear demonstration of the satisfaction of the two entities with the quality of work carried out by the MCE, who have been behind the betandwin.com Grande Premio of Portugal since 2000.

As happened last year, selected members of the group directed by Antonio Lima will play an important role in the continued progress of the commissions for both the Turkish and Chinese Grands Prix, the next two races of the season. "It gives us great pride to again be called by Dorna and the FIM to take part in these two MotoGP events," said Lima. "It is an invitation which demonstrates the standard of our work since 2000, as well as proving our competence as a commissioning entity." "As in 2005, we are sending 60 members to the 2 events. A doctor from the club will accompany us to work alongside the medical team. Dr Gonçalo Morais Sarmento is someone with vast experience in his field, so I'm certain that he will be an asset for both the MCE and for the development in Turkey, where we have the pleasure of his presence amidst our ranks."
