Kenny Roberts Jr. keen for new chassis

Kenny Roberts Jr., 13th in Turkey with his worst result so far this season, continues to earn points and stay close to the top ten.

The American was one of the Honda riders who took the decision to test on Monday at Istanbul Park. He worked on cornering speed, one of the main sticking points for the ex-World Champion so far this season.

"We have to improve by around a second in order to have good speed, but we don't have the time to achieve that. The rain and the travelling have hampered our working as we would have liked," explained Roberts.

The experienced MotoGP rider suggested a possible solution to his problem.

"We will have a new chassis in Le Mans, and I'm confident that we can be at least a second faster than now. Not having a team-mate also slows us down a bit." Attached is a video with exclusive statements from Roberts Jr.
