BREAKING NEWS: Rossi appears to commit future to MotoGP

Valentino Rossi has dropped his strongest hint yet that he will stay in MotoGP after the current season. Reports in the Italian media courtesy of a statement made to news agency ANSA quote the Camel Yamaha rider and reigning World Champion as stating "I will carry on racing in MotoGP for a while yet."

The Italian star had been linked with a move to Formula 1 after tests with the Ferrari team, but with these latest reports he appears to have made a decision against changing to the world of car racing, having been quoted as saying "no Formula 1, at least not for the moment. I am staying with bikes……I believe my work in motorcycling is not yet finished: I still have so much to do and will carry on in MotoGP for a while."

There has been no official word so far from either Rossi or his Camel Yamaha team, to which he is contracted until the end of the current season. Motogp.com will have all the breaking news as it becomes available
