Dirk Heidolf ruled out through injury

Kiefer BOS Racing rider Dirk Heidolf suffered a crash whilst testing at the Sachsenring circuit on Wednesday, and is set to undergo surgery next week on his right scaphoid with the hope of returning for his home Grand Prix. The incident occurred just after the German Circuit's Omega corner, where he highsided awkwardly and suffered the injury, as well as a bruised left ankle.

"The test started so well and we were all surprised at how good things were after only a few changes after Le Mans. Then I started sliding, because the grip was getting worse, but I was able to keep control of the bike. Then I opened the throttle a bit too much and lost control. Now I am really disappointed, because I probably will be out until the Grand Prix here."

" I have to wait and see how the surgery goes and hope that I can start racing again before Sachsenring . It was just a strange highside crash and I came down like a frog, not how you usually fall when you have a highside. It was bad luck."
