Double points finale for Bennetts British Superbikes

Double points finale for Bennetts British Superbikes

Following the cancellation of the Irish round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Mondello Park due to the torrential rain, the race organisers, MCRCB-Events have decided on the following arrangements for the missing races.

The cancelled races in the Bennetts British Superbike Championship will not be re-arranged, however the points at stake in the aborted fifth round will now be transferred to the final round to be held at Brands Hatch on Sunday 1 October. This means that in each of the two races at the Kent circuit, double points will be at stake.

The British Supersport Championship race will be moved to Brands Hatch, giving those competitors a double-header, with two races over the final round weekend.

The British 125GP Championship race will be moved to Mallory Park, with those competitors having a double-header, with two races at this Sunday's event, 4 June, at the Leicestershire circuit.

The two rounds of the Metzeler Racetec National Superstock Championship will now be held at Donington Park during the GAS British Motorcycle Grand Prix over the weekend of 30 June, 1-2 July.
