Second CEV Buckler race set to get underway

The Jerez Circuit in Spain will this weekend play host to the second race of the CEV Buckler 2006. After the Albacete opener last month, the Andalusian track which held the first MotoGP race of the year will hopefully see fine weather for the young riders.

Pol Espargaro is the 125cc leader after victory in the May curtain raiser. The category is a hotbed of youthful talent both from home and abroad. Scottish rider Kev Coghlan is one of the international newcomers, riding for the Red Bull MotoGP Academy having already earned second place in Albacete. English talent Daniel Webb will also be in attendance, alongside Japanese rider Takaaki Nakagami, who finished eighth in his CEV debut and is on a roll of three consecutive wins in his home championship.

The Jerez CEV Buckler gets underway on Saturday from 10am local time, starting with the official practices. Owing to the large number of 125cc riders the category will be split into two groups for this. The race takes place on Sunday at 12.30pm.
