Ducati riders focused on Catalunya success

The Ducati Marlboro team are eager to repeat Loris Capirossi's success at Montmelo this weekend, the Italian having earned the factory's first MotoGP victory three years ago at the circuit.

Capirossi currently heads the championship standings after a consistent start to the season. He puts this down to his team as much as to his undoubtedly superb riding.

"We are fighting fit and competitive at practically every circuit. This season has started well and is still improving thanks to the hard work of Ducati and Bridgestone. As regards the Catalunya Circuit; It is beautiful and has an important straight, although at the moment we are focusing on manageability instead of speed. The Spanish fans are incredible, the circuit is beautiful and I love skidding through turns 3 and 4!" Sete Gibernau will be racing at his home circuit for the first time as a Ducati rider, and is confident of a good result.

"The Circuit might seem strange because of grip changing so much according to the weather, and even though it was re-asphalted last year there has been rubber left by the Formula 1 cars. I have always enjoyed racing at the track. It has a bit of everything and the atmosphere is magical."
