Amatriain: "we have to accept the situation"

Alongside his injured rider Hector Barbera, Fortuna Aprilia Manager Dani Amatriain was on hand at the Clinica Dexeus de Barcelona yesterday to speak to motogp.com. Amatriain was paying a visit to Barbera after his operation on a fractured radius, and took time out to analyse the setback for the 250cc outfit.

"It has been a blow, and the only thing that we can do is accept the situation," said the team boss. "It is a real shame, and I feel bad for Hector because he will probably miss a couple of races and lose out on valuable points which will be difficult to make up." "I hope that he recovers well, the team will support him to the maximum as we have been doing, and you never know what could happen before the end of the championship."

"Victory in Mugello was great for us, as much for Jorge as for the team, but now it seems that bad luck has returned with Hector's injury. There are a lot of important races coming up, and we have to approach them calmly as they could be decisive in the the shape of the title."
