Tamada certain of frontrunning potential

Konica Minolta Honda will be looking to end a dissapointing first third of the season in Montmelo this weekend. With rider Makoto Tamada aiming to be amongst the frontrunners at the Gran Premi Cinzano de Catalunya.

Team Director Luca Montiron has declared that the team "are going to Barcelona looking for improvement. At this stage in the season we have to believe wholeheartedly in the possibilities that we have and try to improve with every race. I am convinced that Tamada will do everything possible to live up to our long-standing expectations. Riding in Spain is always special, as the public have a real passion for the sport. The Montmelo Circuit is a technical track where the riders' talents make the difference".

Tamada himself is happy to be racing at the Spanish track, explaining that he loves the track because "I feel comfortable there and it is very fast. I am satisfied with the post-race test in Mugello and believe that alongside Michelin and Honda we have taken an incredible step forward."

"Obviously we have to keep on the same path in order to find the definitive setting for the bike, but I am certain that we will be able to fight with the frontrunners," said the Japanese rider.
