The Gran Premi Cinzano de Catalunya in numbers

Below are a selection of the weird and wonderful numbers involved in this weekend's Gran Premi Cinzano de Catalunya:

199- The number of races won by Honda, the most successful team in the premier class.

27- Colin Edwards came back from a run-off at Mugello to finish 12th, making it 27 consecutive Grands Prix in which the Camel Yamaha rider has been among the points. Only four riders have had a better run: Mick Doohan, Wayne Gardner, Eddie Lawson and Valentino Rossi.

22- The number of victories racked up by Valentino Rossi since his arrival at Yamaha. The same figure as Kenny Roberts for the Japanese factory, and only behind Wayne Rainey (24) and Eddie Lawson (26).

15- The number of consecutive Grands Prix held at the Circuit de Catalunya since the track joined the calendar in 1992.

9- The number of riders to earn points in each of the six races held so far this season: Loris Capirossi, Nicky Hayden, Marco Melandri, Dani Pedrosa, Toni Elias, Colin Edwards, Makoto Tamada, Shinya Nakano and Carlos Checa.

6- The approximate distance in centimetres that separated Mattia Pasini and Alvaro Bautista as the former won the Gran Premio d'Italia Alice in Mugello.
