Gibernau out for three-to-five weeks

Sete Gibernau will be out of action for three to five weeks, having undergone surgery yesterday on his collarbone fracture in Barcelona. Doctors Xavier Mir and Ignacio Ginebrada replaced a titanium plate already present from a previous injury with a larger one.

The prescribed recovery time means that Gibernau will miss both Saturday's A-Style TT Assen and the following race at Donington Park next weekend. Pramac d'Antin's German rider Alex Hofmann will take the Spaniard's place, whilst Iván Silva will in turn be his stand-in for the Ducati satellite team.
