Rossi still suffering from injured hand

Valentino Rossi returned to the track this morning for the final free practice session ahead of the A-Style TT Assen. The Italian's experience was short lived, as he withdrew himself from the session after completing only four laps. The Camel Yamaha rider was clearly in serious pain, shaking down his right hand whilst behind the bars. Rossi yesterday suffered a hairline fracture to the limb yesterday on his first encounter with the modified Dutch circuit, along with damage to his left foot.

Before the conclusion of the third and final free session, Rossi had returned from his motorhome to the Camel Yamaha box dressed in street clothes, leading to doubts over his participation in the afternoon's crucial qualifying session. Motogp.com has compiled a series of images of Rossi's aborted practice session, which concluded with him heading to the Clinica Mobile for new treatment.
