Chaz Davies cycles to Donington in aid of Riders For Health

Chaz Davies will be getting up extra early for this year's Day Of Champions, cycling to Donington from his home town of Presteigne to raise money for Riders For Health. Providing that the popular British rider makes it in time, he will also roll up to the 250cc start grid with the extra horsepower of a kit Honda, riding for Team Molenaar in place of Arnaud Vincent.

In an open letter on his website, Davies explained how motogp.com readers can help with Chaz' good deed.

"Seeing as I have plenty of spare time on my hands these days, next Tuesday, on the Day of Champions I will make an early start from home (Mid Wales) and cycle, on back roads and A roads (obviously avoiding motorways) to Donington. It's gonna be a 100 mile (160km) trip and up until this moment the most I have ever done is 70 miles (115km) in one day. To do this I need some help with raising some money which is all gonna be in aid of Riders For Health. I plan to leave home early in the morning on Tuesday which should see me arrive in Donington at in the afternoon (depending on how hilly the roads are and how fast I can pedal!). Donations would be very much appreciated and like I said, it will all be in aid of Riders For Health. You can donate by going to my website shop - http://shop.chaz57.com/products.asp, donations are available to buy in £5 blocks, just alter the quantity number to raise the donation amount.
