5 years ago - Dutch TT/2001/Assen/250cc Jeremy McWilliams won at Assen in damp conditions, ending a 15-year period without a British rider taking a GP win in any of the solo classes. Ian McConnachie had been the last British rider to take a solo GP victory, winning the 80cc race at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone in 1986.
