Lorenzo takes second consecutive 250cc pole

Jorge Lorenzo took his second consecutive pole this afternoon, bringing his 2006 total up to six. The Spaniard had dominated all but one practice session, and put himself ahead of Championship leader Andrea Dovizioso for tomorrow's 250cc GAS British Grand Prix. Hiroshi Aoyama will be the other rider on the front row, with his best ever qualifying position for KTM. Alex de Angelis, Shuhei Aoyama and Hector Barbera complete the top six, ahead of Roberto Locatelli, Manuel Poggiali, Marco Simoncelli and Jakub Smrz.
