Sekiguchi extends spell on the sidelines

Japanese rider Taro Sekiguchi will have to wait a little longer than expected to make his return to the 250cc World Championship scene, having previously set this month as a target for his comeback. The Campetella Racing man has decided to extend his rehabilitation period in order to return in the best possible condition.

Sekiguchi, who injured himself during practice for the Spanish GP in Jerez and is yet to debut in 2006, has pencilled in the Czech Republic Grand Prix as his latest goal. To aid his recovery, Sekiguchi is attending a medical centre and undertaking intense gym and swimming sessions.
