Humangest Racing complete two days of test at Brno

The Humangest Racing Team finished today the two-day tests on schedule at Brno circuit, in Czech Republic. The 125cc and 250cc teams didn't return home from England where last Sunday it took place the British GP at Donington Park and went directly to Brno.

The Humangest Racing riders focused mainly on improving the set-up of their Honda and, in particular, both the chassis settings of the RSW250 and RS125 for the Czech Republic GP, which will be held on August the 20th. In these two days, air temperatures were about 23°-24°, asphalt temperatures were between 35° and 48° and it was quite windy.

Unfortunately, the track conditions weren't perfect and so riders couldn't push hard. Both Andrea Dovizioso and Yuki Takahashi lapped in 2'03"6, with Andrea making a total of 127 laps and Yuki 140. In 125cc, Gabor Talmacsi clocked his fastest lap in 2'10"7 (150 laps in total), while Lorenzo Baroni stopped at 2'11"0 (160). Now the four riders will take some days off in order to rest and get ready for next week event in Germany.

Tommaso Raponi - Andrea Dovizioso's Chief mechanic
"These two day of testing have been very useful as we worked on the chassis set-up after the problems we had in Donington. The track wasn't in perfect conditions because Brno circuit recently has held a GP2 car race and the asphalt now is more bumping most of all in the first turn after the main straight, where riders were particularly struggling with their bikes. Anyway, Andrea made quite few laps and with good lap times considering the general conditions. This test has been important for the Czech Republic GP that will take place on next August, hoping to find the same conditions".

Trevor Morris – Yuki Takahashi's Chief mechanic
"At Donington we straggled to find the right balance of the Honda and also here, at the beginning, using the same set-up, Yuki couldn't ride as he would have liked. In today's second day of test, though, we made an important step forward as we found a good base set-up, which won't be useful for next grand prix at Sachsenring circuit, but in the future races, especially for the Brno GP".

Mirko Cecchini – 125cc Technical manager
"These tests have been important for us, because we could work on the chassis set-up and on some engine specs. I'm not talking about new parts but things that we haven't had the time to try before. Gabor was very tired and so he didn't run as fast as we all expected, while Lorenzo did a good job, confirming his improvements during the last few races. Despite it was the first time he was riding in this track, Baroni set more or less the same lap times of his team-mate and this is for sure encouraging for the rest of the season".
