Red Bull MotoGP Academy continues to shine in Albacete

Kev Coghlan once again showed himself to be one of the brightest stars of the Red Bull MotoGP Academy last Sunday, taking third in the CEV Buckler race at Albacete. The Scottish rider's third consecutive podium of the season consolidates his second position in the overall standings.

Starting from the front row of the grid, Coghlan had to fight his way back through the field after a discreet start. He finally caught up with second placed rider Pere Tutusaus, but was unable to pass him before the chequered flag.

To add to the Academy's success, Scott Redding finished fourth in this the third race of the season. Other riders from the project to take part in the race were Jonas Folgar (retired four laps from the finish) Takaaki Nakagami (11th) and Isaac Vinales (13th)

The CEV Buckler takes a break for the summer and returns in September with the fourth race of the season in Valencia.

In the following video we look back on the weekend's highlights and hear from some of the Red Bull MotoGP Academy riders.
