MotoGP stars shine on Hollywood Boulevard

MotoGP fever hit the United States on Tuesday as six of its riders took to the streets of Los Angeles to perform for the massed ranks of fans who waited for them outside the famous Chinese Theatre in Hollywood. With the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix taking place this weekend at the Laguna Seca circuit MotoGP is the talk of Tinseltown, and its racing superstars made a huge impression as the media flocked to see the riders in action.

The current World Championship leader Nicky Hayden was one of the riders present, and last year's US race winner was joined by fellow Americans Colin Edwards (Camel Yamaha) and John Hopkins (Rizla Suzuki), as well as Spain's Sete Gibernau (Ducati Marlboro), Japanese rider Shinya Nakano (Kawasaki Racing) and impressive Australian rookie Casey Stoner (LCR Honda).

Not only did the riders get to ride through Hollywood's streets, but at Paramount Studios later in the evening they were the star guests at a screening of the new MotoGP documentary movie, "The Doctor, the Tornado and the Kentucky Kid." The exciting film, made by acclaimed director of "Faster" Mark Neale, was made around the time of last season's race at Laguna Seca, and charts the progress of the riders throughout the weekend.
