Takahashi breaks arm in Suzuka crash

Humangest Racing Team rider Yuki Takahashi, fresh from his second victory of 2006 at the Sachsenring Circuit, was the victim of an unfortunate setback during tests for the Suzuka 8-hours race yesterday. The Japanese rider fell off his bike on a wet track, fracturing his left forearm, ruling him out of the July 30th motorbike extravaganza. Along with his two 250cc victories so far this year, Takahashi was also the winner of the Suzuka 300km race with Ryuichi Kyonari on June 11th.

He will undergo surgery at Tokyo hospital this Saturday, with a planned return to action in time for the Czech Republic Grand Prix on August 20th.
