Roberts JR: `The best we could do´

Kenny Roberts JR contributed to an awesome and succesful Honda weekend at Laguna Seca closing the fourth first places in classification of, probably, the toughest GP race has never held in United States.

Nicky Hayden took the chequers with his front wheel lofted in the air, Dani Pedrosa followed 3.186 seconds behind, then Marco Melandri and Roberts JR.

The American obtained his second best result of the season, after the podium the KR211V rider at Catalunya GP, and strenghtens his eighth position in general standings.

"That's the best we could do", commented Roberts JR. I was up to my maximum traction control early on and that's usually a sign that I'm in trouble and I just tried to bring it home – a similar situation to Melandri. But at the end he started using the front a little bit more´.

`I was just a tiny bit soft and when I tried to load it, it was like using the tyre too much, not the suspension, and just risking a crash. I just tried to stay with him as long as I could and hope he made a mistake – and he didn't."
