Nicky Hayden: `The pressure was so great´

After his brilliant hard-earned victory in the Red Bull US Grand Prix held last weekend, Nicky Hayden has taken a hold on the MotoGP lead, securing his candidacy for the premier class World Title.

In this exclusive interview with motogp.com, the Kentucky rider from Repsol Honda admits that he was under a lot of pressure during his home race, and expresses his satisfaction for this special stateside victory.

`The pressure was so great, you can't even imagine the pressure I felt today from winning last year, at the home track, and struggling with the set-up all weekend, and then at the start of the race the pace was so tough, the track was moving around, and I thought, you know, don't let your pride get in the way, of one day to try to win here, and let the Championship go, but in the end I couldn't let the home team down and we got it done, I'm really happy´, explained Hayden in this exclusive interview.
