Gino Borsoi, Sporting Director for the Master MVA Aspar Team, has commented on his role in one of the most succesful 125cc and 250cc outfits, and their performances this season.

"We've had a lot of luck this year with the team, and of course as a result adrenaline is at an all-time high and it's a good time for both the riders and the technicians. It is marvellous that everything is going so well because we knew from the beginning that we needed a ‘football team' mentality," said Borsoi.

"We have had it quite easy until now, although it will be difficult to keep it up because we have to remember that there's still a long way to go. We can't afford to think that all the hard work has finished, everything can be improved."

The former 125cc rider revealed that before every race there is a meeting between the riders, himself and Jorge Martinez Aspar in order to keep things calm. "Everybody wants to win and it is difficult to control oneself, but the team philosophy is to fight cleanly so that the better man on the day wins," commented Borsoi.

The technician added his assessment on the Aspar Team riders, singling out Alvaro Bautista as "very focused, fast and not one to make mistakes." He described Mattia Pasini as "more aggressive, but his anxiety makes him commit some errors." Borsoi also added that Sergio Gadea had matured after earning podiums this season.

In 250cc, Alex de Angelis is the Spanish team's sole representative, and his Sporting Director is delighted to be working alongside someone he considers "a friend and compatriot with whom I have done a lot. I am convinced of his value and he will believe in himself once he wins again."
