Takahashi to miss out on Czech race

Yuki Takahashi has been struck off the entry list for this weekend's race at Brno, as a result of the broken left arm which he suffered shortly after his win at Sachsenring. The injury, which ruled him out of the Suzuka 8hrs race, was deemed not to have recovered sufficiently for a return this weekend.

"I don't have much feeling in my arm, so I can't control the bike well enough. Also, the vibration of the bike can worsen my condition somewhat," said the Japanese 250cc rider. "We could have raced here and earned some points, but I think it is better not to risk it if I'm not at 100%. I don't want to take unnecessary risks."

The Humangest Racing team will have another change in their ranks this weekend, with Lorenzo Baroni exiting stage left as a result of, according to the team, "behaviour not in accordance with the sporting spirit of the team". Italian 125cc rider Stefano Musco will take his place, currently leading his national championship.
