Rain affects second day of Brno Test

After a full day of testing yesterday at Brno, today saw a rather slower session, affected by rain falling from 10am until midday on the Czech circuit.

Few riders took to the track for their final chance to fine-tune their machines ahead of the triple flyaway next month, with Honda riders Dani Pedrosa, Casey Stoner, Makoto Tamada and Marco Melandri, alongside Kawasaki official and test riders Randy de Puniet, Shinya Nakano and Olivier Jacque, having left Brno after Monday testing.

Riders who had a chance to ride this morning were Kenny Roberts Jr, Toni Elias, Loris Capirossi, Nicky Hayden, Chris Vermeulen, Carlos Checa and James Ellison, adapting their settings for a wet track. Alex Debon and Sylvain Guintoli were the two riders not currently involved in the premier class to ride MotoGP bikes at the circuit.

Whilst a number of teams are currently packing away their lorries, drawing a conclusion to their test, there will perhaps be an appearance from Valentino Rossi and Loris Capirossi this afternoon, the latter having ridden the Desmosedici GP7 under wet conditions for the first time this morning.

A full report from the test will follow tomorrow, when unofficial times will be made public.
