Ducati Corse hit London

Ducati Corse joined forces with Ferrari yesterday for a spectacular event organised by Shell in London. The petrol company is technical sponsor for both italian factories, and also provides them with oil.

Up to 20,000 speed-fans took their places in the specially constructed grandstand on Belvedere Road. The event served to launch the new Shell V-Power petrol in England, which was developed in tests with the Ducati Desmosedici.

Loris Capirossi, winner of last Sunday's Czech Republic Grand Prix, was present, alongside Troy Bayliss and Ferrari F1 driver Felipe Massa. Tiff Needell, ex-touring car rider and presenter of Channel 5's "Fifth Gear", conducted the proceedings.

The Ducati riders later headed to the Snetterton Circuit for the second part of the event, dedicated to the commercial network and Shell clientele.
